Digital signage was in its infancy in Canada back in the mid 2000s. Sharp was one of the first companies in Canada to start using digital signage at their warehouses and offices. We created content as well as helped with debugging the earliest iterations of the DS software.

From there we worked with DDC, an early digital signage company. We did a ton of content for American banks and restaurants for them. Then we worked with >>>>> where we worked on signage for McDonald’s and BMO.

We were employed by BMO directly to work on digital signage and then by RBC just before we relocated out east.

Now we are almost 2 decades removed from those early days with Sharp and the startup costs have dropped considerably. You no longer need a computer to run each iteration of the software. A $40 dongle works fine. And buggy proprietary software is a thing of the past with open source solutions widely available.

So we are back to only needing to worry about content. And we’ve been making content for everything from computer screens to theatre screens for decades.
